With a portfolio of credentials spanning occupational therapy, counseling, sex-related addictions, yoga, and emergency care, Christie’s diverse perspectives compel her to approach healing from multiple angles, merging clinical knowledge with compassionate, whole-person care. She uniquely blends clinical expertise, global service, and creative drive into her approach. Additionally, she is certified as a Duke-trained Health and Well-Being Coach and is a nationally registered emergency medical technician, offering a unique blend of emergency care training and therapeutic depth. Her background and experiences prioritize integrative wellness and holistic consultation. Christie’s hands-on experience developed through years of local and international travel have provided social services, relief, and outreach to underserved populations, laying the foundation for her lifelong commitment to accessible care.
Christie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas, Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. Adding to her achievements, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Driven by a strong interest in psychological research, she is involved in projects focused on interpretative phenomenological analysis, behavioral addictions, and relational patterns including states of belongingness and attachment.
As a passionate advocate for women’s cardiovascular health, Christie was selected as a 2024 WomanHeart Champion and trained at the Science and Leadership symposium held in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Christie has firsthand experiences navigating the complexities and obstacles of living with heart disease. As a spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) survivor, she is passionate about helping women live an empowered life of recovery. She understands the significant influences of mental and emotional well-being on cardiovascular health.
Currently, Christie’s cardiac care focus relates to understanding the impact of medical trauma and the necessary recovery process that follows the experience. Her foundational approach is solution-focused and value-based therapeutic work tailored toward resiliency. As a licensed occupational therapist and mental health practitioner, her focus is attachment-based with a strong orientation toward mentalization-based therapy. Her research focus is geared toward understanding motivating and sustaining factors related to behavioral addictions, utilizing an integrative lens of care. Christie has consulted for a diverse range of clients-spanning from executives, startups, parents of children with disabilities, individuals with chronic illness, those facing career or life transitions, and peers. Her broad expertise enables her to craft creative solutions to complex personal and professional challenges.
